Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Elevated Beyond Building Africa ("EBBA", "we", "us") website at ebba.africa and your participation in EBBA membership and programs. By using this website or applying for membership, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of terms

By browsing this website, submitting the contact form, or applying for membership, you confirm that you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree with any part of these Terms, please don't use the site or apply for membership.

2. Membership

• Membership is open to Zimbabwean youth aged 13 to 30.
• Applicants under 18 are encouraged to involve a parent or guardian in the application.
• Membership carries a subscription fee of USD $2 per month, which supports direct program activities.
• Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance EBBA reviews applications and will follow up by email or phone.
• Membership fees are not automatically refundable once a program cycle has begun, except where required by law or at EBBA's discretion in exceptional circumstances. Refund requests can be sent to ebba.africa@gmail.com.
• EBBA may suspend or end a membership at its discretion where a member breaches the code of conduct below.

3. Code of conduct

As a member or participant in EBBA programs, you agree to:

• Treat other members, staff, and partners with respect;
• Not use EBBA's name, platforms, or events to harass, discriminate against, or endanger others;
• Represent yourself honestly in applications and communications;
• Follow the specific guidelines of any program or event you take part in (e.g. Next Gen Africa Championships rules).

4. Intellectual property

The EBBA name, logo, and original content on this website belong to Elevated Beyond Building Africa. You may share links to this site freely, but please don't reproduce our logo, branding, or written content elsewhere without asking us first at ebba.africa@gmail.com.

Photos and stories members share with EBBA for use in programs, showcases, or promotion remain the member's own work, but by submitting them for a specific program or showcase, you grant EBBA permission to use them for that purpose and for reasonable related promotion of EBBA's work, with credit given where practical.

5. Third-party tools

This site uses Web3Forms for our contact form and Google Forms for membership applications. Your use of these tools when submitting information to us is also subject to those providers' own terms. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.

6. Liability

EBBA programs and events are run on a good-faith, youth-led, non-profit basis. While we take reasonable care in organizing our activities, EBBA is not liable for indirect or incidental loss arising from participation in our programs, to the fullest extent permitted by Zimbabwean law. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited.

7. Termination

You may end your membership at any time by contacting us. EBBA may suspend or terminate a membership for breach of the code of conduct, non-payment of fees, or at its reasonable discretion, with notice where practical.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe. Any disputes will first be addressed informally by contacting ebba.africa@gmail.com.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as EBBA's programs evolve. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the site or membership after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
